Cheryl,

I remember all of those wonderful suppers.

Do you remember all the cookies we made for Christmas?  The huge mixing bowls and our arms hurting from stirring so much.  And the house smelled soooooo wonderful.  Mom sure could bake up a storm.

Mom always made Christmas special no matter what.  Didn't need alot of presents, just the company of family.  Remeber dressing up like reindeer and Raymond was the Santa Claus.   Oh I almost forgot about that.

thanks mom.

I remember going roller skating with mom and the church.  She was the smoothest roller skater there.  She loved to skate and flow with the music. It didn't matter if the kids were faster and bigger she just rolled along beautifully. Unfotunately, that gene wasn't passed onto me.   We did alot of things with the church through mom and I am greatful for the wonderful experiences.  Thanks Mom !

I'm remembering birthdays. We didn't get any kind of presents, but Mom would still make it a special day for us and you felt like it was a present. You didn't have to do any chores for that day and you got to pick what you wanted to eat and Mom would make your favorite cake.....remember the special birthday plate?

I remember mom listening to "our" music, (but only for a half hour!) and she would do the 'bump' with us. We would laugh and giggle and be so silly.
I also recall coming home from school and having to take down frozen wash off the line.  I was always afraid we would break the clothes.
And yet some of my happiest memories are sitting out under the big tree in our front yard with MOUNDS of corn to be husked. Mom would sit and help us until she had enough to start blanching and freezing it. And, of course, she would always call us in for hot, buttered corn-on-the-cob. Yum!!  Thanks Mom for all the things you've done FOR us and WITH us.
